MOS typeface hero collage with a large white serif letter g on black

MOS. A modern take on “Garalde”, renaissance roman type

Inspired by work of Francesco Griffo and Claude Garamond. It has humanistic proportions, weighed forms and calm representation. Due to the reduced contrast and sufficient x-height suitable for a paragraph text, but a number of sharp decisions the typeface opens up his character in display sizes.

Graduated from Bolditalic course.

Mos has only one master (regular, 300), Latin (52 glyphs) and Cyrillic (68 glyphs) set, numbers, and some other basic non-alphabet signs. I spent about 200 hours on it. The font has raw sidebearings and no kerning.
